Client

Aura Renewable Energy Corporation plans to develop alternative energy facilities that utilize anaerobic digestion and gasification technology to produce renewable natural gas (“biogas”) and/or synthetic gas (“syngas”) from agriculture waste streams. Aura plans to develop its biogas facilities primarily in close geographic proximity to (1) ethanol producers and (2) feedlots and dairy farms (collectively, “Hosts”) and utilize the Hosts’ ethanol by-products or animal waste stream as feedstock to generate biogas. The biogas can be supplied directly back to the Host creating a closed-loop renewable energy system or it can be placed into the natural gas grid for use off-site.

Scenario

Aura was seeking to raise capital to fund operations until its first 3 biogas projects become operational in 2009.
